Welcome to the farm of Wolphus website!

B&B - Chambers D'hotes in the heart of the French Countryside

A romantic setting in a hamlet in the countryside, the farm of Wolphus is situated between Calais and Saint Omer, and is surrounded with a relaxing park of 15ha grounds including a private car park for staying guests.

The Wolphus farm contains the original details of history such as the pigeon one of 1790, the enclosing wall of the garden of 1840 still protects some of the old trees in the park to this day.
The farm of Wolphus is a family property and has been in our family for generations. I returned to the Wolphus farm back in 1979 and at that time there was quail breeding.

We arranged the 1st lodging at the end of the house in 1984 and In 1986 we opened lodgings at Easter in time for our guests to enjoy the holidays.
So successful were the gites that the 2nd lodgings were soon required on the farm as well as the 3 rooms of hosts on May 1 of the same year, by 1994 the large lodgings for 6 people in the court was arranged.

The tourists appreciated the offering of small quail eggs for breakfast. Unfortunately due to health problems we were obliged to stop the breeding of quails in 1991 and we made the move to transform the livestock buildings into Gites and Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
We opened the studio in 1992 and renovated the old Pigeon house in 1998 and added the Well in 2002.
In 2006 between June and September saw the hatchery become new lodgings and the gardens were opened.

The Wolphus farm is only 20 minutes from the Channel Tunnel and Calais ferry terminals, the lodgings sleep (6 to 5 people) and rooms' hosts (10 people) in comfort. For a week-end or more, come with family and friends and discover the charm of these "gîtes" at the farm.

Shops in the nearby village include a baker, gift shop, florist and a supermarket. Visit our local restaurants and sample the regional cuisine, or have an aperitif in the village bars.

We enjoy breakfast time together…
Breakfast consists of our home made jam and assorted pastries (croissant, pain au chocolate, baguette) coffee, tea and freshly squeezed orange juice Served at 8.30 am

The region is historic and geographically rich so don't hesitate to ask us for any activities you wish to do or any place you would like to visit, it would give us great pleasure to help you discover our region and its environment in a calm and independent way and are looking forward to having you as our guests!
